I've tried to add the location, which is a private country club, but I continue to get an error message that reads "could you be more specific". I put in the name of the club, street address, town and zip code. I don't know how much more specific I can get. Please help. This event funds the fight against breast cancer and I'd like to get is posted as soon as possible.
I've attached a flyer for the event. The location for the event is: The Navesink Country Club, 50 Luffburrow Lane, Middletown, NJ 07748
Thank you- Julie Gilbertson

Hi Julie,
My apologies for the delay! The event tool sometimes requires a very specific format for the address, so if you are unable to get it to accept the address, please email support@patch.com and we can provide assistance.

AS I have seen elsewhere others have and still are encountering this same annoying and archaic problem. Every time I post an event in my town and want to also have it posted on neighboring Patch.com local sites I can not do so as those sites refuse to recognize the "out of the area" address/location. This is such a hindrance to those who like I, live in communities mere 4-10 miles apart and our residents patronize events in areas within a 30+ drive from our homes. Patch .com should have the ability to allow the event poster to "check off" the Patch.com sites where an event, comment or news item should be posted. It is very time consuming and old-fashioned to expect the poster to re-enter the event details repeatedly for all say, five different Patch.com sites and then usually run into the neighboring site refusing the posting when submit is selected because the LOCATION is not recognized as being in that town site parameters!!! I have failed repeatedly to post my church's news and events due to this despite the majority of our congregation living in one Patch.com town and the church located in another Patch.com.
For heavens sake get with the modern age and change this and offer the multiple posting link - then you will see many more publicity entries to your events pages!!! Or is it that you want to force us to PAY for advertisements in order to publicize our events???
I also find it interesting that your site would "close all further comments" on this issue of multiple event listings. Says to me you don't want to improve for the sake of your readers/users. Shame on you!
I'm having the same problems of it not recognizing my address. and also attempting to post on neighboring Patches and not being able to.
Please fix!
I completely agree. Apparently the location for my event is not appropriate to any Patch anywhere. Honestly, folks, the Patch is in competition with perhaps dozens of different online event posting apps and if the Patch can't accommodate something slightly outside some sort of arbitrarily-designated area -- or cross-post an event on several local Patches -- then you've probably already lost the battle.
Please fix!!
