We start building each site's Directory listing using publicly available data – the kind of information you’ll find all over the web if you search for businesses. But we don’t stop there. We do our best to list every single business in town and correct the inaccuracies we find in this public information. We then attempt to follow up to confirm basic data and add more detailed content you can't find anywhere else.

To make sure you and your town are accurately represented in our directory, we add information from members of the community, from our freelancers and from our editorial and sales staff in your town. In fact, you may have met one of our intrepid researchers as they were visiting businesses around town.
