You are now able to see real-time analytics on your Business Updates and Local Resource posts on Patch. But what do they mean? Here's a breakdown:
Impressions: An impression is defined as a time where your post came into view by another Patch user on any Patch.com page or in an email sent by Patch. For example, if your post was included in a newsletter email that was opened by a subscriber, that would count as an impression. This number does not include any impressions your post may have received on social media.
Engagements: This is the amount of times someone has clicked on the contact button, contact information, phone number, website, address, post title, or image. It tracks any time someone interacts with something on your post.
Your analytics are broken down into two sections: Total and From Promotion.
- The numbers seen under the Total section are the accumulated impressions and engagements, from both the time(s) that your post has been promoted and the time that it has not been promoted.
- The numbers seen under the From Promotion section show you the impressions and engagements you received from only the time period you chose to promote your post for. If you have promoted your post for more than one time period, each time period will be broken down in its own section under From Promotion.
These numbers are updated approximately hourly.
